Pedro Gil FariasMultidisciplinary artist, designer and urban researcher working between the virtual and built environments. 

Through fieldwork, archives, and digital tools (film, 3D scanning, videogames), I collect fragments of the urban fabric that are remix them into interactive installations, audiovisual work, participatory workshops, visual compositions and printed matter. My practice is concerned with how cities are represented, remembered, and contested. It makes visible the hidden rules, power structures, and everyday narratives that shape contemporary urban environments.

I’m currently based in Paredes, Portugal. I’m one half of the artist duo WHAT A MESS and a former member of Mesh Print Club, I occasionally make print work under the name (de)conceptualise, and work part-time as a design researcher at Humankind (agency for urban change). 

My work has been presented at venues including Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam, Milan Machinima Festival, Zagreb Contemporary Art Museum (MSU), WIP Festival in Cyprus, V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media and Art Rotterdam 2025.
